FAQs About Our Detailing Services

An extensive list of the questions we get from our customers

We put a collection of frequently asked questions about our services. Click any of the links below to jump to that section:

General Questions

  • We service Long Island and surrounding areas like Montauk, East Hampton, Bridgehampton, Southampton, Westhampton, Riverhead, Smithtown, and Holtsville. You can read more about where we service here.

  • For the most part, yes. There will be a few times when we can do a same-day service, depending on your location and the services you’re requesting. However, 98% of the time, we’re by appointment only.

  • You don't need to be there the entire time or at all. We need access to the vehicle and enough room to work. Regarding payment, we can send you an online link to pay. That way, you can continue with your day while we work.

  • At your apartments, yes. We only ask to have enough space to move around the vehicle. If you’re parked in a tight spot with no open spaces, things are much more complicated for us. 9 out of 10 times, we can perform the detail at your job. We only ask if you can confirm that we’re allowed on the premises. Property management sometimes does not like/allow detailers to perform work on-site.

  • Yes, we accept both cash and cards. We do not accept checks or money orders.

  • We do not charge a mobile fee to service your vehicle. However, the farther you are from our primary area, the higher the minimum purchase amount will be.

For example, if you’re within 13 miles, the minimum order might be $50 for us to go out. If you’re 40 miles away, the minimum will be $200.

Full Interior Cleaning

  • It depends on the size and condition of the vehicle. Generally speaking, between 3 to 4 hours. Once we see the condition, we can give you a more accurate time range.

  • No. We do not use harsh chemicals, and there will be zero traces of any smell other than your clean car. To this day, we’ve never had a customer mention anything about a chemical smell.

  • We use a variety of brushes, cleaners, and machines to clean your interior thoroughly. How we clean an interior is primarily based on the condition and type of material. Sometimes, it just needs a quick cleaning with a brush; other times, it requires a steamer and extractor.

We’ve cleaned hundreds of interiors and have proven methods to tackle various conditions. So you’re in good hands!

  • When it's relatively warm outside, the carpets and seats should be 85% dry by the time we finish the interior. It'll take another hour for them to be completely dry. If it's cold outside, it takes much longer to dry as the water doesn't escape as easily from the fabrics. With that being said, we never oversaturate your material. You're not going to see puddles of water or anything.

Additionally, we use a specific upholstery tool designed to keep the surface manageable with water. This makes the drying time much faster.

  • We’re 100% confident in our skills and knowledge to get your interior cleaned to the best condition possible. However, some stains may be far too gone to remove completely. Regardless, we’ll do everything possible to make it look its best. If we can’t remove it, we’ll at least make it look significantly better.

  • Currently, we do not offer any upholstery repair services. Our focus is solely on cleaning and detailing.

  • With the tools, products, and knowledge we have, we can reach many areas in the interior without having to remove the seats. So we do not remove seats.

  • Cleaning an interior to make it look better is different than removing an odor from the vehicle. We can remove the odor, but it takes additional steps before we get to the odor removal part (learn more about our smoke odor removal). We first have to clean the interior thoroughly and then use a fogger or Ozone machine to eliminate the smell.

  • Technically, it will hide and cover the micro scratches on your paint. The wax puts a layer of protection over your paint, filling in some of those scratches. This is what creates the shine.

If you want a higher shine level by removing swirls and scratches, then that would be paint correction.

  • This is based on how you store and take care of your vehicle. If it’s sitting outside 90% of the time, then the wax won’t last as long since the sun, rain, bird poo, etc are constantly beating it up. You can expect about 2 to 3 months of protection.

If you park your car in a garage at work and home 90% of the time, you can get 3 to 6 months of protection, especially if you wash and spray wax it regularly.

  • Before applying wax, cleaning the paint of any dirt or contaminants that may prevent it from adhering is essential. We use mechanical (clay bar) and chemical (iron remover) methods to decontaminate the paint to achieve this. This ensures the wax can be applied correctly, providing the best protection for your vehicle's paint.

  • There are so many products on the market now. It’s ridiculous. We use many brands. All of which are high quality.

  • Of course! Your car's paint may feel rough for two reasons: Firstly, it could be that it has been a while since you last used a clay bar to remove dirt and debris that has become stuck on the paint. Secondly, paint overspray may have landed on your vehicle. A practical solution to tackle this issue involves using a clay bar application.
