What is Paint Correction?

A paint correction is a mechanical process of leveling a vehicle's clear coat or paint to permanently rid the surface of swirls marks, scratches, orange peel, oxidation, and other imperfections that may be present. This process requires a solid foundation of technical know-how and an understanding of adequately gauging and measuring your working surface without causing damage or completely removing a vehicle's clear coat or paint.

While some detailers and shops will offer paint correction services and use fillers and waxes to hide these imperfections visibly, this is only temporary, and they will be back in a matter of time. Here at HEX, we don't cut any corners and are trained experts in correcting a vehicle's paintwork.

With proper paint correction, small amounts of clear coat are removed from the surface through abrasive polishes, pads, compounds, and even wet sanding. This process refines the finish to a leveled, high-gloss surface free of blemishes and scratches whiles adding depth and gloss.
